Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship

Producing the Real Estate Leaders of Tomorrow

Degrees

George Mason University currently offers many real estate courses as part of existing degree programs. Presently, we have approximately 18 courses with a principal focus on real estate as well as three dedicated Graduate Certificates. To underscore the need brought forward by the real estate community, we are currently expanding our offerings throughout Mason.

Presently, the Center, through the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering, offers a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Real Estate Development.

The School of Public Policy is developing a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in Real Estate.

The School of Management currently offers courses related to real estate at both the undergraduate and MBA levels. Planning for additional courses is underway; these courses would make possible a concentration in real estate within the undergraduate finance major as well as a specialization in real estate in the MBA program. To provide opportunities for non-degree students, the School of Management also anticipates developing a graduate-level certificate program in real estate.

In addition, Mason is in the process of developing the curriculum for a dedicated Master of Real Estate Development. We hope to begin the approval process in the summer 2008.
