Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship

Producing the Real Estate Leaders of Tomorrow

Our Orientation and Approach

Under the direction of University President Alan Merten and Provost Peter Stearns, the Center draws from the various schools and colleges across Mason to bring together the most innovative thinking in real estate. In order to be successful in this endeavor, the Center also relies upon the support and resources from the surrounding community. Following a model replicated throughout the university that brings area engineers, business professionals, and others into the classroom, the Center, as appropriate, will use key members of the Washington area real estate community as adjunct faculty and guest lecturers to share their expertise and take the educational experience beyond textbooks by analyzing some of the real-world success stories.

By using actual case studies as a principal vehicle for learning, students enrolled in the programs will be exposed to a well-rounded real estate education and a curriculum that is relevant to the primary needs of the real estate community as a whole.

To provide the most valuable and pertinent education offerings possible specifically geared toward the needs of the real estate community, George Mason University works in partnership with leading real estate professionals from the Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
