Introduction
George Mason University is pleased to announce the launch of a university-wide initiative which will produce the real estate professionals of tomorrow and will further the educational and professional opportunities of real estate industry professionals.
Our newest degree, the Master of Real Estate Development begins September 2009. We are extremely excited about this new program, and are starting to accept applications. We are seeking only 20 outstanding students, so apply now!
Educating the next generation
Pulling resources and expertise from the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering, the School of Public Policy, and the School of Management at George Mason University, the Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship is designing undergraduate and graduate programs in real estate development that encompass the entire real estate development continuum from land use and environmental considerations to acquisition dynamics and construction management. Areas of emphasis currently being developed include:
- land use and zoning
- sustainable development
- real estate finance
- management of the development process
- development company management
- marketing and asset management
- entrepreneurship and leadership
HIGHLIGHTS
Mason hires Dr. Anthony B. Sanders Dr. Sanders, one of the leading real estate educators in the nation, has been hired as a Distinguisjed Professor of Real Estate Finance. Dr. Sanders starts his appointment this summer, and will help oversee the new degree program.
Mason Annouces new Degree The Master of Real Estate Development received approval from the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. This exciting degree program begins September 2009. Apply now for consideration!
