Introduction
George Mason University is pleased to announce the launch of a university-wide initiative which will produce the real estate professionals of tomorrow and will further the educational and professional opportunities of real estate industry professionals.
Educating the next generation
Pulling resources and expertise from the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering, the School of Public Policy, and the School of Management at George Mason University, the Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship is designing undergraduate and graduate programs in real estate development that encompass the entire real estate development continuum from land use and environmental considerations to acquisition dynamics and construction management. Areas of emphasis currently being developed include:
- land use and zoning
- sustainable development
- real estate finance
- management of the development process
- development company management
- marketing and asset management
- entrepreneurship and leadership

President Alan Merten of George Mason University announces the formation of the new Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship.
Development Community actively supports new Center Leaders within the real estate development community meet with Center leaders and provide commitment to support future development

Three Schools within Mason commit resources and expertise to support the evolution of the Center - the Volgenau School for Information Technology, the School of Management, and the Mason Center for Regional Analysis within the School of Public Policy.
